Villabrille is a self-taught artist who started painting at a very young
age.
After graduating high school, he worked for six years for two movie theaters, Rizal and Nation Theater in the Philippines. In 1978 a tourist company, Smith's Motorboat Service, from Kauai, Hawaii hired him as a promotional artist. He had several one-man shows in galleries as a fine artist such as Princeville Gallery, Kahn Gallery, Kahana Kii Gallery and Sheraton Kauai Gallery. He moved to Tucson, Arizona where he worked for a national billboard company, Eller Media. He started his mural business in 1992 and while visiting Europe, fell in love with trompe l'oeil murals which greatly influenced his style of murals. He has painted two Desert Diamond Casinos in Tucson, Arizona, shopping centers, hotels, restaurants and private homes. |
